Tom is a senior associate in the Patents and Innovation team and provides advice on a range of intellectual property issues. He has extensive experience in the life sciences sector and has particular expertise in animal health following a previous career as an academic and clinical specialist veterinary surgeon, during which he led research programmes in biomechanics, gene therapy, regenerative medicine and biomedical devices at a variety of institutions internationally.
Tom brings his technical and clinical understanding to his work helping innovative clients meet regulatory requirements, deal with patent disputes, and negotiate R&D and collaboration agreements.
