Andi advises on a variety of media, cyber, contentious data and information disputes. He also has experience in advising in contentious and non-contentious advertising and IP matters.
He regularly advises both claimants and defendants on matters relating to defamation, privacy, confidentiality, harassment, and contentious data protection issues.
Andi regularly assists claimant clients by persuading publishers and broadcasters not to publish or broadcast private information and/or false allegations or to publish more balanced articles, without resorting to legal claims. He has also helped claimant clients obtain preliminary injunctive relief for causes of action including misuse of private information, breach of confidence and harassment. Andi also advises publishers by 'legalling' content pre-publication.
On post-publication matters, Andi has regularly achieved results for claimant clients by persuading publishers or online platforms to remove harmful, damaging or private/confidential content. He advises clients on both sides in relation to threatened or actual legal claims and/or regulatory complaints to IPSO or Ofcom.
Andi advises clients following breach incidents on managing their reputation in the face of the cyber crisis and in dealing with data disputes.
Andi also has experience advising clients on contentious and non-contentious advertising and IP matters, including advising on issues relating to the Advertising Standards Authority, and copyright and trade mark disputes.
Though he regularly advises across all sectors, Andi has a particular focus on the sports and private wealth sectors.
