Alper is a lawyer for finance and a qualified freight forwarding agent. He is specialised in domestic and cross border asset finance transactions in the transportation sector covering aircraft and rolling stock financings.

He advises lenders, borrowers, lessors and lessees on all transaction - related aspects of financing, leasing and security agreements on the basis of the commercial and client-specific requirements of the deal.

The spectrum of his expertise comprises the sale of portfolios in loans to the aviation and land transport sector as well the restructurings in the energy sector.

Advising Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba) on the financing of five FLIRT Akku battery hybrid vehicles manufactured by Stadler for DB Regio AG. The financing was structured and implemented in collaboration with the lessor LHI Group as part of a sale and leaseback structure.

BayernLB – Financing of 18 electric multiple units for the Ostsee-Alster subnetwork

Advising BayernLB on the financing of 18 Alstom Coradia Stream electric multiple units for the Ostsee-Alster subnetwork. The lessor of the multiple units is a special purpose vehicle of DAL (Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG). The transaction supports the electrification of regional rail transport.

BayernLB – Financing emission-free fuel cell local trains

Advising BayernLB on the financing of three local trains with emission-free fuel cell propulsion for regional train services in the Mühldorf 2025+ network. The lessor of the multiple units is a special purpose vehicle of DAL (Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG). The mandate combines innovative mobility solutions with structured project financing.

Advising BayernLB on the financing of three local trains with zero-emission fuel cell propulsion for regional train services in Bavaria

A team led by Dr. Alper Utlu advised BayernLB on the green financing of three hydrogen-powered Siemens Mireo Plus H trains for the "Linienstern Mühldorf 2025+" regional transport service. The trains will replace diesel railcars from December 2026 and promote emission-free local transport in Bavaria.

Advising BayernLB on the financing of 18 electric multiple units for the subnetwork "Ostsee-Alster"

A team led by Dr. Alper Utlu advised BayernLB on the green financing of 18 Alstom electric multiple units for the subnetwork "Ostsee-Alster". The trains will be operated by DB Regio from 2027 and will promote sustainable local transport between Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. BayernLB acted as lead arranger with KfW IPEX Bank; the leasing partner is DAL.
