As a member of the Practice Area Competition, EU & Trade, he advises private companies as well as the public sector in the preparation and implementation of public procurement procedures. He also represents clients in review proceedings before the Public Procurement Tribunal. Johannes specialises in complex IT tenders and the implementation of state-subsidised projects. Furthermore, he advises aviation authorities on tenders in accordance with the Ground Handling Services Ordinance at almost all major German airports. His state aid practice focuses in particular on infrastructure (e.g. energy, air transport as well as hospital sector) and finance. Johannes represents clients before the EU Commission (state aid investigations, notifications, complaints) and national courts.
