Paul specialises in resolving complex cross-border disputes, particularly in the construction and engineering sector. Having spent more than half of his career in the Middle East, he has considerable experience representing parties in arbitration and litigation, as well as advising on dispute avoidance strategies and alternative dispute resolution. Paul has acted for clients in disputes across the Middle East, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
In arbitration, Paul has experience in advising under a variety of institutional rules, including the DIAC, ICC, LCIA, and SCCA. In litigation, Paul is a registered practitioner with the DIFC Courts and also acts for clients in the High Courts of England & Wales. He is an experienced advocate, and also regularly speaks on construction and dispute-related issues within the community.
