Under the leadership of Hamburg partner Carsten Bartholl, the international law firm Taylor Wessing provided comprehensive legal advice to Encavis Asset Management AG ("Encavis AM") on the acquisition of two further wind farms with a total capacity of 18 megawatts for the Encavis Infrastructure Fund IV (EIF IV) special bank fund. Both wind farms were developed and realized by the UKA-Unternehmensgruppe.
The two wind farms consist of a total of three wind turbines. Two Vestas turbines of type V162 - 6.0 MW are located in the Brandenburg municipality of Lebus and have been in operation since November 2022 and April 2023 respectively. Another Vestas V162 - 6.0 MW turbine is also located in Brandenburg at the Lindendorf site and has been producing green electricity there since June 2023. The two wind farms supply around 21,200 households with electricity and save over 20,500 tons of CO2 annually.
Encavis Asset Management AG is responsible for the structuring of the entire project and will take over the commercial management, energy management, accounting and controlling of the wind farm.
UKB Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen Betriebsführung GmbH is responsible for the technical management of the wind farm.
Taylor Wessing has already successfully advised Encavis AM on various transactions involving renewable energy generation assets in recent years.
