The Czech #FIRST100YEARS project (#PRVNÍCH100LET) in cooperation with Czech weekly magazine Euro has announced the third edition of the TOP 100 list of exceptional Czech business women lawyers for 2024. Taylor Wessing Czech Republic has three female representatives in this list, namely partners Janka Brezániová and Karin Pomaizlová and senior associate Markéta Cibulková.
Janka Brezániová, partner at Taylor Wessing Czech Republic, is included in the TOP PARTNERS category. Janka is head of the Czech corporate, M&A and employment teams. She uses her extensive experience of M&A and private equity to help both national and international clients. Janka also regularly provides legal advice in all areas of employment law (both domestic and international) covering everything from day-to-day matters to collective bargaining to HR management. Janka is particularly valued by clients for the time she takes to understand clients’ issues and mindset, as well as her ability to identify with clients’ goals. Karin Pomaizlová, partner at Taylor Wessing Czech Republic, was recognized in the ALL-STAR 2023 category primarily for her outstanding work in trademark portfolio management and related IP enforcement. She specialises in new technologies including the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, big data, and artificial intelligence. Able to defend her clients with precision and tenacity, she is still fair and just in dealing with counterparties. This has earned her the trust of the leading national and international clients she has represented in her more than 20 years in the sector.
Markéta Cibulková, Senior Associate at Taylor Wessing Czech Republic, has been recognized in the EMPLOYMENT LAW category. Marketa was selected due to the growing recognition of her legal services in the field of employment law. She is known for an exact and business-like approach in handling matters Her advice to clients covers a wide range of employment law issues, including employment contracts, benefits, and bonus plans, downsizing and redundancies as well as agency employment. She also supports domestic and international companies in questions of data protection, employer obligations in relation to health and social insurance, collective bargaining, and employment disputes.

The list was compiled by the Czech #FIRST100YEARS project representatives (#PRVNÍCH100LET) on the basis of international rankings of Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, IFLR1000 and a number of industry surveys (e.g., IP Stars), as well as the Czech Law Firm of the Year rankings, surveys prepared by Forbes magazine or the Legal Disruptors project, and also on the basis of recommendations from prominent personalities from client communities. Each category was consulted with experts active in the given field. Business categories are those in which at least two Czech lawyers are being recognized internationally.
