Under the leadership of Hamburg partner Carsten Bartholl, the international law firm Taylor Wessing provided comprehensive legal advice to Encavis Asset Management AG ("Encavis AM") on the acquisition of the wind farm Gusow-Treplin by Versicherungskammer Group. The acquisition is being handled by special fund Encavis Infrastructure Fund III (EIF III). The park was developed and realised by the UKA-Unternehmensgruppe.
The German wind farm with a total capacity of 23.6 megawatts (MW) consists of a total of four wind turbines. Three Vestas turbines of type V150 - 6.0 MW are in the municipality of Treplin and have been in operation since February 2022. Another Vestas turbine from type V150 - 5.6 MW is located in Gusow and has already been producing green electricity since April last year. The entire wind farm supplies around 27,700 households with green electricity and saves over 30,500 tonnes of CO2 annually.
Encavis Asset Management AG is responsible for the structuring of the entire project and will take over the commercial management, energy management, accounting and controlling of the wind farm.
UKB Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen Betriebsführung GmbH is responsible for the technical management of the wind farm.
Taylor Wessing has already successfully advised Encavis AM on various transactions involving renewable energy generation assets in recent years.
