Taylor Wessing advises Saint-Gobain on the sale of GVG Deggendorf to Arbonia

The sale of GVG Deggendorf is part of Saint-Gobain's corporate strategy to optimise its company portfolio. The Deggendorf site has been flexibly transforming basic glass with a variety of processing options since 1988. The Bavarian company currently employs around 160 people and produces more than 1 million square metres of high-quality glass products annually.

Saint-Gobain is a globally active group with headquarters in Paris. The company develops, produces and distributes materials and solutions for the construction, mobility, health and other industrial applications markets. These materials are used in buildings, transportation, infrastructure and numerous industrial processes. They provide comfort, performance and safety while meeting the requirements of sustainable construction, efficient use of resources and climate change.

The Arbonia Group is a building supplier listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange that specialises in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology, sanitary fittings, windows and exterior and interior doors. The company is active worldwide with its own sales companies and with representatives and partners in over 70 countries.
