Taylor Wessing advises Index Ventures, Accel and Lightspeed Venture Partners at USD 125 million Series D investment round in Personio GmbH

Personio has raised a total of USD 125 million in its Series D financing round from lead investor Index Ventures together with the existing investors Accel, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Northzone, Rocket Internet, LaFamiglia, Picus, Global Founders Capital and with new investor Meritech completing the round. A venture capital team of Taylor Wessing led by Frankfurt partners Hassan Sohbi and David Becker, who also acted as advisors to the lead investors in Personio’s Series B and Series C financing round, advised Index, Accel and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Personio, based in Munich, Madrid, Dublin and London, wants to make personnel processes in the areas of recruiting, personnel administration and payroll accounting faster, clearer and more efficient with its all-in-one HR software solutions for companies with up to 2,000 employees, so that HR managers can once again focus more on their employees. According to Personio, almost 3,000 customers in over 80 countries are already using this software solution.

The Series D financing round raises the valuation to USD 1.7 billion (EUR 1.4 billion), making Personio to one of the few European Unicorns alongside companies like Auto1 Group, N26 or Flixbus and to Europe's most valuable HR tech company.
