Five of our partners awarded Lawyer of the Year in Handelsblatt Best Lawyer Ranking

We've achieved outstanding results in the 2020 Handelsblatt Best Lawyers Ranking, with five of our partners named "Lawyer of the Year 2020", and 141 of our legal experts recommended as "Germany's Best Lawyers".

Thomas Fehrenbach (project financing and development), Christian Frank (IT), Wolfgang Rehmann (healthcare), Martin Rothermel (franchising), and Paul Voigt (data protection) received Handelsblatt's Lawyer of the Year distinctions.

In addition, 141 legal experts of the firm appear in the ranking as "Germany's Best Lawyers". Our lawyers are recognised across the board, with 111 nominations across 34 areas of law, highlighting the strength of a range of our practice groups. 19 and 17 lawyers respectively are recognised in our IP and corporate groups, with 12 in employment, nine in M&A, and eight each for real estate and IT.

The Handelsblatt Best Lawyers Ranking is an annual joint-effort between the publishers, and provides a comprehensive overview of the most highly recommended lawyers in the German market, determined from a survey of lawyers and their peers. Participants are asked who they would refer work to outside of their own firm if they were unable to take it on themselves. Lawyers with the most recommendations are included in the rankings.
