Taylor Wessing advises Körber on the acquisition of the Brazilian logistics specialist Otimis

The international technology group Körber has acquired a majority stake in the Brazilian company Otimis Ltda., thereby continuing its internationalization strategy in the Logistics Systems division. The law firm Taylor Wessing advised Körber on the acquisition under the leadership of Munich partner Stefan Kroeker. Taylor Wessing has extensive experience in advising European clients on investments in Brazil and Brazilian clients on transactions in Europe. The acquisition has been completed with effect of 18 December 2019.

With the acquisition of Otimis, Körber has expanded its service and support capacities to Latin America, thus meeting the growing demand for technology partners with global logistics solutions in the context of increasingly digitalized supply chain processes. Since 2004, Otimis has been an implementation and sales partner for supply chain management solutions from Highjump, a subsidiary of the logistics umbrella brand Körber Logistics Systems. Based in Blumenau and São Paulo, Brazil, as well as Santiago, Chile, the company offers cloud and on-premise warehouse management systems and other software solutions for process optimization and automation in supply chain management.
