Partech Growth participated as lead investor in a Series B financing round in Amboss, a Berlin-based medical technology company. More than half of the total of around 30 million euros were invested by the international Partech Growth fund. Partech had been advised on all relevant aspects of this financing round by the international law firm Taylor Wessing, led by Berlin partner Dr. Norman Röchert.
Co-investors in this financing round were the Russian venture capital investor Target Global and the existing stakeholders Cherry Ventures, Wellington Partners, and Holtzbrinck Digital.
Partech Growth fund is a closed private equity fund managed by Partech Partners, one of the best-known French venture capital investors in the area of hardware and software, digital brands, the Internet, ecommerce, and media services with offices, among others, in Paris, San Francisco, and Berlin.
Under the leadership of Benedikt Hochkirchen, Amboss offers a medical study platform for future physicians to prepare themselves for their USMLE and NBME examinations. Together with a knowledge library and a so-called Qbank that covers a comprehensive set of exam questions, the system offers a detailed analysis of the medical students' steady progress and their personal goals. According to its own information, Amboss has more than half a million users from 180 countries and employs around 200 people.
