Pauline Albouy is an Industrial Property legal counsel based in the Paris office.
She has developed significant experience in industrial property matters, with a particular focus on trademark law. She advises French and international clients across a broad range of industries at every stage of the life cycle of their IP assets, both in prosecution and litigation.
In the clearance and prosecution phase, she conducts availability searches, designs tailored protection strategies, and manages applications through registration, working closely with foreign counsel where multi-jurisdictional coverage is required. Her approach is grounded in an assessment of legal and competitive risks to ensure that rights are secured on a solid footing from the outset.
She also has substantial experience in administrative proceedings before the French Office (INPI) and the EUIPO, including opposition, invalidity, and revocation for non-use actions. She evaluates prospects of success, develops procedural frameworks, oversees the preparation of evidence of use, and drafts submissions, with close attention to evidentiary standards and the decision-making practices of each Office.
In addition, she works alongside litigation counsel in court proceedings involving trademark infringement, contributing to the technical input and the development of legal arguments.
She further advises clients on the negotiation and structuring of coexistence agreements and trademark license arrangements.
Pauline is a member of the APRAM (French Association of Trademark and Design Law Practitioners) and the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property).
