The Berlin-based start-up McMakler raises 20 million euros in fresh capital. Among the backers are existing investors Frog Capital and Mutschler Ventures AG. Both Frog and Mutschler as well as existing shareholder Piton Capital were advised by a Taylor Wessing team led by VC and growth experts Dr. Jens Wolf and Dr. Armin Bartsch on all legal issues related to the financing round. The investor group is led by Baillie Gifford, and founder and CEO Felix Jahn is also participating with a seven-figure sum.
McMakler plans to invest the additional capital mainly in the further digitization and automation of its operational processes in order to offer its customers even more transparency and security when selling and buying real estate.
McMakler was founded in 2015 by Felix Jahn as a hybrid real estate broker and is one of the major brokerage companies in Germany and Austria with around 350 of its own real estate agents in over 30 locations.
