Under the lead of the law firm Müller-Heydenreich, Bierbach & Kollegen, Taylor Wessing, led by Stephan Heinemann, has advised the Dutch Stertil Group on the acquisition of the business operations of the insolvent Munich-based Beissbarth Automotive Testing Solutions GmbH. The transaction documentation was signed on December 23, 2022, and the transaction itself was completed in early January.
Stertil Group operates worldwide with the brands Stertil-Koni, Nussbaum, Stertil Dock Products and Stokvis Service. Stertil-Koni heavy-duty lifts and Stertil-Koni Dock Products are marketed and sold through sales offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Turkey, China and Poland, as well as through selected exclusive distributors. Production takes place in the Netherlands, Germany, the United States and China (for the region). Nussbaum lifts are distributed through a network of specialized dealers focusing on high-quality workshop equipment. Stertil Group is part of Citadel Enterprises.
Beissbarth Automotive Testing Solutions GmbH develops and manufactures modern testing and service equipment in the premium segment for automotive workshops and car manufacturers that meets the latest industry standards. This includes products for wheel alignment and driver assistance calibration (ADAS), headlamp testers, brake testers, lifting platforms, and machines for tire service and diagnosis. The Munich-based workshop equipment supplier has over 120 years of experience in the manufacture of automotive service equipment. Beissbarth works closely with leading automotive manufacturers (OE). Independent workshops (IAM), tire chains and authorized testing organizations also benefit from its experience as a long-standing OE supplier.
