AF Eigenkapitalfonds für deutschen Mittelstand GmbH & Co. KG, advised by Munich-based AFINUM Management GmbH, invests in Schlote Holding GmbH. Taylor Wessing advised the company on this transaction which was led by Burkhard von Wangenheim. The growth capital will be used to strengthen the automotive supplier’s equity base and build up additional production capacity.
The rapidly growing, family-owned business focuses on mechanical processing of engine, transmission and chassis components with own production facilities in Germany, the Czech Republic and since 2015 also China. The group serves predominantly leading automotive OEMs as well as Tier 1 Suppliers and foundries.
With the support of AFINUM, Schlote aims to strengthen its capital base and continue its growth strategy. This investment marks the eleventh deal of the AF Eigenkapitalfonds, which is advised and managed by AFINUM. To date, Taylor Wessing has advised AFINUM on six investments of its Mittelstands-Fund.
