As the Sainsbury's / Asda megamerger hits the news amid announcements of price cuts for consumers, suppliers to those retailers will understandably be concerned with trickle-down price squeeze on their business, on top of existing inflationary supply cost pressures throughout the supply chain. These issues will further emphasize the importance of leveraging the relationships between supplier and retailer and understanding supplier rights under the GSCOP code.
