Taylor Wessing advises One Peak as lead investor on Series B financing round in Hygraph

Berlin based software scale-up Hygraph, that has built a platform around a new, “federated” approach to content management, has raised $30 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by One Peak, with previous backers OpenOcean, Peak and SquareOne as well as new business angel Boris Lokschin (co-founder and CEO of Spryker Systems, a One Peak portfolio company) participating. A team from Taylor Wessing, led by Berlin-based VC and growth experts Dr Norman Röchert and Dr Armin Bartsch, advised the lead investor, One Peak, on all legal aspects of the funding round.

Hygraph’s federated content platform, a further development of so-called headless CMS, represents the next generation of content management, powering a many-to-many relationship between different content sources and devices. In addition to the efficient management and platform-independent playout of content, the software solution of the scale-up also enables the consistent aggregation of content from different sources - an essential criterion in regard to the constantly increasing diversity of channels, platforms and devices. Hygraph now serves more than 400 customers, including Dr. Oetker, Shure, Samsung, and Philips.
