We have advised Dataminr, the leading real-time information discovery platform, on its acquisition of WatchKeeper, an innovative real-time data geovisualisation platform for corporate enterprises.
Combining Dataminr’s real-time alerts with WatchKeeper’s geo-visualised data layers will provide customers with broader context around real-time events that adversely impact their organisation and disrupt their business operations. Global enterprises across dozens of commercial industries use Dataminr Pulse to learn about events and risks that impact their business, and the integration of WatchKeeper will enhance the ability of corporate enterprises to assess and respond to events in real time.
Relied on by over half of the Fortune 50, Dataminr Pulse has established a wide footprint across many commercial sectors including technology, finance, retail, food and beverage, transportation and logistics, energy, telecom, healthcare, automotive, insurance, and pharma.
This complex deal drew on deep expertise from across the firm's Corporate, Tax & Incentives, IP and Media, Employment, Commercial Technology and Data, and Real Estate teams.
Commenting on the transaction, Corporate Partner Mark Barron, said: "We put innovation at the heart of what we do, and this acquisition reflects that. Dataminr’s real-time event and information discovery platform has revolutionised the way corporations learn about events and risks that impact their businesses and its acquisition of WatchKeeper is the next big step in the evolution of physical security and crisis management for global corporate enterprises."
Gary Hacker, General Counsel of Dataminr, added: “Taylor Wessing is rightly known as one of the UK’s and Europe's pre-eminent firms for advising technology clients, and provided first-rate strategic legal advice and in-depth market knowledge throughout the deal."
