Global Restructuring Review has named us part of its Top 100 law firms for cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters.
The GRR 100 is an annual guide to the world's leading law firms for cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters. The top 100 firms are selected by Global Restructuring Review’s editorial team following extensive research, which includes vetting each firm’s expertise and demonstrable experience in cross-border matters.
The guide highlights the role of Nick Moser, partner and UK head of Restructuring & Insolvency, in advising Lady Cristina Green, the majority shareholder of UK retail group Arcadia, on its restructuring in 2019.
In addition, our award-winning work on the British Steel’s liquidation is also listed. The firm advised the UK arm of White Oak as senior secured lender and acted from May 2019, when British Steel went into liquidation, through to the sale in March 2020 of British Steel businesses to the Chinese steel producer, Jingye.
The guide also credits our Restructuring & Insolvency teams across Europe, including Hendrik Boss who leads the German team and has been advising an automotive supplier's restructuring across Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Also, in Germany, Christian Saueressig has been advising restaurant chain Vapiano on its insolvency proceedings. In London, Amy Patterson was promoted to partner in May 2019.
The GRR 100 is a great list to be part of. We are a team that is worthy of its place at the top table and the past 12 months has seen us work across several ground-breaking and pressurised deals, resulting in thousands of jobs being saved. We have worked tirelessly to cut through differences between stakeholders to find solutions to complex problems which otherwise could have resulted in deadlock. None of this is possible without teamwork and I'd like to extend my thanks to the entire Taylor Wessing team.
