Hospitality in the News - 09 July 2020

TW:thinkingdifferently

Kudos to the UK Government and all the hard work UKHospitality has been doing in the background to make the case for unprecedented Government support to the Hospitality industry.

For 6 months starting 15 July, the rate of VAT applied to food, accommodation and attractions will be cut from 20% to 5% and a new "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme will provide a 50% discount for meals eaten out each Monday to Wednesday in August (up to £10 per diner). The Government says these measures are expected to help support 2.4 million jobs in the UK. We really are living in unprecedented times.
