Taylor Wessing advises Premier Inn on lease of building plot for new hotel in Potsdam

A new hotel project is being developed in Potsdam by property developer COSIMO Investment Group (COSIMO) and will be used by Premier Inn as a tenant. The British hotel chain was advised by Frankfurt real estate expert Sarah Anderson during the contract negotiations for the lease of the property.

The hotel on Babelsberger Strasse, in the immediate vicinity of the main railway station, will have 208 rooms and will also incorporate COSIMO serviced apartments. An underground car park with 82 spaces is also planned, with a gross floor area of around 7,400 square metres.

This is Premier Inn's first location in the capital of Brandenburg. The opening is planned for 2027.

Currently, Premier Inn Germany operates 61 hotels, most of which are located in city centres and meet the premium economy standard. A further 37 hotels are in development. Since entering the German market in 2016, Premier Inn has already invested 1.1 billion British pounds in the country.
