Premier Inn is buying a property in the immediate vicinity of Hamburg Airport for the construction of a new hotel. Premier Inn, which belongs to the British hospitality company Whitbread, was advised on the acquisition by a Taylor Wessing team led by Frankfurt real estate expert Sarah Anderson.
The construction of the eighth Premier Inn hotel in the Hanseatic city by 2028 is planned on the approximately 2,150-square-metre site in the Alsterdorf district. The property on Alsterkrugchaussee is conveniently located between the airport and the city centre. The new hotel will be built by the project developer Adore | Immobilie GmbH using the turnkey method. The project comprises 137 rooms on a total area of approx. 4,800 square metres.
On the same property, Adore | Immobilie GmbH will construct an apartment building with 119 serviced apartments under the brand name ‘ipartment’ in a second construction phase. Both facilities will share a common underground car park.
The opening of the Premier Inn hotel and the adjoining apartment building is scheduled for 2028.
Premier Inn currently operates 57 hotels in Germany, mostly in city centre locations, which are based on the premium economy standard. A further 39 hotels are currently in development.
