We are pleased to announce that, by order of the President of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, Prof. dr hab. Aleksander Chłopecki, Zbigniew Korba (attorney-at-law, Partner) has been appointed for the next term as an arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. In addition, Łukasz Szymański (attorney-at-law, Partner) has been appointed for the first time as an arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and for another term as a mediator of the Mediation Centre of this Court.

The Court of Arbitration at the Financial Supervision Authority is a permanent and independent court of arbitration established in 2008 on the basis of the Act of 21 July 2006 on Financial Supervision to resolve disputes between financial market participants. In 2022, the Court of Arbitration at the FSA conducted 19,429 proceedings (mostly mediations), mainly in the insurance and banking sectors. For the 2023-2027 term, 38 arbitrators and 291 mediators have been appointed.

Jednocześnie, Łukasz Szymański (radca prawny, Partner), został po raz pierwszy powołany na arbitra Sądu Polubownego przy KNF oraz na kolejną kadencję w roli mediatora Centrum Mediacji Sądu Polubownego przy KNF.

Sąd Polubowny przy Komisji Nadzoru Finansowego jest stałym i niezależnym sądem polubownym, powołanym w 2008 roku, na podstawie ustawy z dnia 21 lipca 2006 r. o nadzorze nad rynkiem finansowym w celu rozpatrywania sporów między uczestnikami rynku finansowego. W 2022 r. w ramach Sądu Polubownego przy KNF przeprowadzono 19.429 postępowań (w przeważającej mierze mediacyjnych), głównie w obszarze ubezpieczeniowym i bankowym. Na kadencję 2023-2027 powołano 38 arbitrów i 291 mediatorów.
