On Wednesday 14 September at the Embassy of Austria in Prague, Dr. Erwin Hanslik received the Golden Decoration for Services to the Republic of Austria in the name of President Alexander Van der Bellen. The decoration of merit and certificate were presented to him by the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in the Czech Republic, Dr. Bettina Kirnbauer.
Dr. Hanslik received this distinguished award for more than 15 years of service as member of the Board of Trustees of the Embassy of Austria in Prague to which he also serves as legal advisor, as well as for his activities in the Association of Austrians in the Czech Republic, of which he has been the President since 2014.
The Association of Austrians in the Czech Republic (VÖT) is open to anyone with a relationship to Austria and who speaks German. Officially founded in 1994, at present the association has about 250 members and serves as a platform to meet and network at various events.
The President's award for services to Austria is a great honour for me and I appreciate it deeply. At the same time this is an important award for our whole association. Its history has been marked with both regular and extraordinary events organized by all the members who attend,”

Erwin Hanslik has been Managing Partner of international law firm Taylor Wessing Czech Republic since 2000. He has also been a Partner of Taylor Wessing CEE since 2007. As Head of the CEE Real Estate & Construction team, he leads a group of lawyers in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine, advising domestic and international clients on a wide range of real estate matters. He is also Vice President of the Real Estate Commission of the Union Internationale des Avocats and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
