Taylor Wessing appoints six new equity partners

The international law firm Taylor Wessing is strengthening its partnership with the appointment of six new equity partners with effect from 1 May 2021. Established Taylor Wessing lawyers Anja Lunze, Cornelia Maetschke-Biersack, Christian Maron, Benedikt Rohrßen, Christian Saueressig and Daniel Tietjen presented convincing business cases for promotion. Due to the Corona pandemic, the partners’ general meeting took place virtually, and the partner elections were held via digital voting.

New partner profiles:

Dr. Anja Lunze is a specialist in intellectual property law. She manages multinational patent infringement proceedings, prepares infringement and nullity opinions and represents clients in parallel opposition and nullity proceedings before the European Patent Office, the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Court of Justice. In particular, she advises clients from the pharmaceutical, biotech, personalised medicine and precision medicine sectors. Anja joined Taylor Wessing as a lawyer in 2011.

Dr. Cornelia Maetschke-Biersack is a specialist in family law. The focus of her work is on drafting prenuptial agreements, in particular with international elements, and on separation and divorce agreements. She also advises wealthy individuals on all aspects of asset and business succession. Cornelia began her legal career at Taylor Wessing in 2008.

Dr. Christian Maron is a specialist lawyer for employment law. His particular focus is advising North American tech companies on their market entry in Germany. Christian’s clients rely on his advice on all matters of individual and collective employment law, including employment, termination and severance agreements and termination disputes. His practice also includes employment law aspects of restructuring measures and corporate transactions, works constitution law issues and representation in and out of court. Christian has been a member of the Taylor Wessing team since 2015.

Dr. Benedikt Rohrßen is an expert in commercial and distribution law. He specialises in the structuring and development of franchise and other distribution systems, including digital, and advises nationally and globally active companies, in particular those from Italy, along the entire distribution chain - from procurement and compliance with legal product requirements to the launch and distribution and recall of their products. Benedikt started his career at Taylor Wessing as an associate lawyer in 2010.

Dr. Christian Saueressig specialises in advising insolvency administrators and trustees in major national and international insolvency proceedings. Another focus is the procedural enforcement and defence of insolvency-specific claims, in particular in an international context, as well as advising insolvency administrators and trustees with a view to avoiding liability.
