Taylor Wessing has advised Bridgepoint Growth on its growth capital investment in Elgin, the home of roadworks.org, the local and national planning, management and communications hub for roadworks, road closures and traffic disruptions.
This is the second growth capital investment which Taylor Wessing has advised Bridgepoint Growth on over the last year, following their investment in maternity-wear retailer Seraphine in 2017.
This deal was multidisciplinary and involved collaboration between Taylor Wessing's Private Equity and Corporate Technology practice groups.
Commenting on the transaction, partner and Head of the Private Equity practice group, Emma Danks commented: "The nature of transport is shifting, becoming increasingly digitalised and being served by innovative software solutions. Bridgepoint Growth's acquisition of Elgin is an opportunity to enter into a dynamic marketplace."
"This transaction is an example of the cross-practice projects we are known for, including private equity, technology, tax and employment. We look forward to continuing to work with Bridgepoint Growth on their expanding acquisitions."
The deal team was led by partner Emma Danks, senior associate Siobhán Langwade (Corporate Technology) and associate Emma Casemore (Private Equity).
Further assistance was provided by partner Siân Skelton, senior associate Katie Knowles, associates Nikita Saini and Kelly Burke (Commercial Technology and Data), partner Ann Casey and senior associate Harriet Revington (Tax), associates Felicity Staff, James Watkins (Employment), associate Emma Aylwin (Pensions) and associate Sophie Marsden (Real Estate).
