We have advised long-standing client Mr Wael Al-Qadi and Mr Samer Al-Qadi on the majority sale of Dwane Sports, the holding company for Bristol Rovers Football Club to Mr Hussain AlSaeed.
Mr Hussain AlSaeed has acquired a 55% share in Dwane Sports, joining Mr Wael Al-Qadi and Mr Samer Al-Qadi who together hold an aggregate of 45% as co-owners of Dwane Sports and subsequently Bristol Rovers Football Club. The English Football League approved agreement sees Mr Hussain AlSaeed joining the club as Chairman of the board with Mr Wael Al-Qadi remaining as Club President.
Taylor Wessing also acted for Mr Wael Al-Qadi on the purchase of the Club through Dwane Sports in 2016. The Jersey-based company holds a large majority of the Club's shares with the remainder owned by the Supporters Club and smaller stakeholders.
