Taylor Wessing has announced that Shane Gleghorn has been elected UK Managing Partner for a term of three years from 1 October 2018.
Shane will succeed Tim Eyles, who previously announced that, after nearly 10 years in the role, he was not standing for re-election following completion of his third term. Since 2009 when Tim took over the role, Taylor Wessing has strengthened its position as a leading international firm, with 32 offices in 18 countries, and a world class reputation in its chosen sectors.
Shane joined as a Partner in 2006 and sits on the UK Board. He is co-head of the firm's international Litigation practice.
Managing Partner, Tim Eyles, comments:
"I am delighted for Shane, and I'm much looking forward to continue working closely with him in the coming months. Being Taylor Wessing's Managing Partner has been exhilarating and a real privilege. I love the people here, our creative ethos and passion, and I'm immensely proud to have made a contribution to our success. It has been such a personally fulfilling experience that will stay with me forever. We are now extremely well placed to take advantage of the fantastic opportunities we see across our focus sectors and I have no doubt Shane will lead the firm from strength to strength."
Managing Partner-elect, Shane Gleghorn, also comments:
"Tim has been an exceptional leader. I have worked with him for over 12 years and will have the benefit of his counsel in the coming months. I feel honoured to have been elected by the UK partners who are very clear about our priorities and ways in which we will continue our successful trajectory. We will be working closely with our clients and building on our strong sector focus. Our success will be built on teamwork and a commitment to finding the best solutions for our clients. I look forward to working with all my colleagues to achieve this."
