Majority stake in premium dry-gin Monkey 47 sold with Taylor Wessing to Pernod Ricard
Pernod Ricard and Monkey 47 join forces. Pernod Ricard, the world’s n° 2 in wines and spirits, acquires a majority stake in Black Forest Distillers GmbH and thereby in the Black Forest-based multi-award winning premium dry-gin brand “Monkey 47”. Taylor Wessing has been advising the founders and proprietors in the sale of the majority stake in the brand, which has gained cult status with bartenders and connoisseurs. The parties agreed not to reveal details of the transaction. The transaction is subject to merger control clearance.
