Standard essential patents (SEPs) are a basic requirement for the functioning of numerous products, services and business processes. Manufacturers of IoT-enabled products, as well as infrastructure operators such as municipal utilities, use SEPs for services and devices that communicate digitally via Wi-Fi, 5G or LTE. For them, there is no alternative to these patent-protected technologies.
But what can they do if they are asked to pay by patent owners and patent exploiters?
We will support you if you are threatened with injunctive relief and demanded licence payments due to alleged patent infringement. Our brochure provides information on the situation and gives an initial overview of possible courses of action.
