FAQ Synopsis on the German Supply Chain Act

  • In-depth analysis

The German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales, BMAS) published FAQs on the German Supply Chain Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG) back in November 2021 and updates them regularly. As a result, the FAQs have become a little more transparent, but at the same time a little less convenient. A new version has been available since 27 February 2023. To facilitate comparison with the previous version, we have prepared a short synopsis (text in change identifier) for you to download. This includes a link to the BMAS website.

The suspense continues and the development of these FAQ answers by the BMAS as well as the background discussions taking place with the BAFA do not necessarily contribute to legal certainty.
