Why place the arts at the centre of our responsible business strategy?
Creative thinking is at the heart of our culture and we see art as an important instrument of change. Our partnerships with art galleries and charities, such as the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Liverpool and the Roundhouse, play a central role in helping us to broaden our horizons by encouraging analytical thinking and understanding of different perspectives.
The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize is at the heart of the firm's culture. We like to think that it reflects the creativity that we bring to legal services. We enjoy working as a team with the National Portrait Gallery to create a platform that allows talented artists to flourish.
I have a deep interest in the arts and particularly value its unifying influence. As our arts champion I enjoy bringing together our people and clients to appreciate the value of creativity.
I believe in the power of all art forms as it can help those less academic people find a path to be successful, becoming a more rounded individual. Being part of an arts group teaches discipline, team work and resilience and I believe it has an important part to play in the workplace for the same reasons.
Our partnership with the National Portrait Gallery
As part of our partnership with the NPG, all Taylor Wessing employees have free admission to all exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery throughout the year. We also organise curated tours for colleagues and clients for the Taylor Wessing National Portrait Gallery Photography Prize. We want to make a positive impact in our local communities, so we’re excited to support our iconic local art venue, the Roundhouse. There's a natural affinity between the work the Roundhouse is doing to inspire young people and the importance we place on supporting the arts, inclusion and the community. Our partnership also goes both ways, with our people and clients gaining rich experiences through creativity workshops and mentoring young people. Image credit: Nici Eberli.

We’re able to offer all our employees a discount on the National Art Pass which gives free access to 240 museums, galleries and historic places, along with 50% off entry to major exhibitions, including those at Tate, V&A and National Museum of Scotland.
