We have represented US-headquartered asset manager White Oak in a significant High Court claim in London against Marsh Limited concerning insurance arrangements related to financial products previously acquired from Greensill Capital.
The proceedings involved allegations of fraudulent misrepresentation and sought damages in excess of $140 million. This high-value, cross-border commercial dispute has received significant media attention, including a recent article in the Financial Times.
The matter has now been resolved through a confidential settlement.
We continue to advise White Oak as it pursues routes against other parties to recover additional amounts and maximise returns to investors.
Led by Nick Moser, Global Head of Disputes & Restructuring at Taylor Wessing, the team advising White Oak included partner David de Ferrars (Partner), Malcolm Fitzsimons (Consultant), Lorna Bramich (Senior Associate), Jenni Gregor (Senior Associate), Helen Robinson (Senior Associate), Lucy Groenewegen (Senior Associate), Kate Hamblin (Associate), Nicole Baldev (Associate), Emma Henshaw (Paralegal), Natalie Smith (Trainee Solicitor) and Viviane Boissy Salek (Associate).
