Alison Dennis and Saleem Fazal recognised in The Lawyer's Hot 100 for 2022

Partners Alison Dennis and Saleem Fazal were named in The Lawyer magazine's prestigious Hot 100 list for 2022. 

Alison is the international co-head of our life sciences sector group and Saleem is the head of our Liverpool office and real estate disputes.

The annual Hot 100 list celebrates talent from across the legal industry and gathers together exceptional individuals, renowned for their expertise, who have gone above and beyond.

The publication tracks lawyers year-round, and from an extensive shortlist, whittles down the top 100 who are ambassadors for the profession. 

This is the second appearance on the Hot 100 for Alison who was previously named in 2013. 

The Lawyer recognised her stella impact after joining our team in 2020, including her leadership of the life science sector and involvement in launching our new Dublin office.

Throughout COVID-19 she has worked with vaccine manufacturers to import ingredients, helped firms set up diagnostics capabilities, worked through the authorisation of new products and advised on ramping-up production of ventilators.

Commenting on her accolade, Alison said: "To receive a Hot 100 place is a real honour, both for myself but also the team I lead at Taylor Wessing because it represents all of their work.

"These last two years have been trying for everyone and our sector group has done excellent work to ensure the best medical advances to treat and halt COVID could be realised."

The Hot 100 included Saleem in the 2022 list for his leadership in launching our innovation hub in Liverpool in 2019 and continued work as a renowned property litigator.

Since its creation the Liverpool office has become our fastest-growing location, developing from a small team to a 130-strong site, including both fee-earners and business services.

On top of this Saleem has continued his work as the head of real estate disputes, he has developed opportunities in the North West across science and technology.

Throughout his career Saleem has been an advocate for social mobility, led our LGBT+ network and co-founded the industry's first, and award winning, LGBT+ network for real estate professionals, Freehold.

Saleem said: "Being trusted to open a new office in 2019 was a significant undertaking. The success of this site and recognition by the Hot 100 is a real commendation of our growing Liverpool team.

"I'm also proud to see a range of work across my professional career highlighted, from real estate disputes to leadership for social mobility and LGBT+. I want to see the doorway to law open and welcoming to anyone else who wishes to pursue it."
