We acted for MetLife Investment Management in relation to an €88 million loan facility to a group of Dutch and Delaware borrowing entities managed by Time Equites Inc., secured against a portfolio of 36 assets in the Netherlands.
This is the latest in a number of lending transactions secured against Dutch real estate that our international real estate team has acted on for MetLife Investment Management, including the financing of the acquisition of the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven last year.
Commenting on the transaction, lead Partner Gareth Lawson said: "We continue our relationship with MetLife Investment Management by advising on its latest lending transaction secured against Dutch real estate, a buoyant sector as a result of the country's long-lasting economic growth. This deal further demonstrates the excellent reach and teamwork of our international real estate finance offering."
The team was led by real estate finance partner, Gareth Lawson, with support from senior associate Gareth McCarter and associate, Jess Richard-Webb. International support was provided by partners Andrei Babiy and Wilma Booij, senior associates Claus Bunge and Remco Schoe, associates Sharon Kistemaker and Paul Boetselaers, and counsel Leonie Muetstege (Netherlands).
