Ireland has a strong domestic economy and is a popular destination for companies and investors seeking opportunities in the technology, life sciences, healthcare, and media and communications sectors. From our Dublin office, we support both homegrown and international clients who do business in Ireland.
Since we opened our Irish office in 2021 our team has grown rapidly, and we now provide a wide variety of services. We advise some of Ireland's most innovative people and businesses, and we have a diverse range of clients including international corporates, investors, local family businesses, and high net worth individuals who we help to access new opportunities and achieve their goals.
Our collaborative, international network empowers our people to deliver exceptional client service while driving innovation and growth. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take the next step in your career, you'll be part of a team that helps shape the future of business in Ireland and across Europe.
Our Dublin trainee programme will start in July 2027, followed by the Professional Practice Course (PPC) course at Blackhall, and 24 months’ work experience rotating through various practice areas. As soon as you start, you’ll receive an in-depth induction to help you fit right in, as well as legal technical training throughout your training.
In each seat, you'll work closely with a supervisor who'll provide feedback and guidance, with the option to request a separate mentor to help you achieve your long-term professional goals.
And if you like to learn at your own pace, you can sign up to personal development programmes and online learning to help you improve your interpersonal skills and increase your commercial knowledge.
Applicants should either have already successfully completed all FE1 examinations or be in the process of completing them. You must pass all FE1 examinations before your start date.
Our Summer Internship lets you experience what it's like to be a trainee solicitor in a fast-paced international law firm.
From your first day, you’ll benefit from comprehensive training, with an induction programme that introduces you to our partners, our employees, and our business strategy.
During the Summer Internship, you’ll spend four weeks immersed in two different practice areas, gaining first-hand experience under the supervision of our approachable associates and partners. You'll also be involved in socials, networking opportunities, and more. You'll end the scheme with invaluable experience and a clear sense of career direction.
We take on up to four summer interns per year. To be eligible, you must be in the penultimate or final year of your degree.
Applications for our 2026 Summer Internship open on 1 October 2025 and close on 14 November 2025.

I joined Taylor Wessing Ireland in early 2024 as a partner. I was attracted by the entrepreneurial spirit in the firm, the opportunities to grow and succeed, the calibre of the lawyers that had already been recruited, and the focus on strategy. I love being part of a global law firm with international reach. The quality of work is second-to-none. We have a corporate stronghold with clients spanning every stage in the life cycle of a company from start-ups to IPO and large household names. I love that Taylor Wessing has such an incredible reputation for Private Wealth. There is so much opportunity to do interesting work with colleagues and clients across the world. If you like critical thinking, solving problems, and celebrating wins along the way, Taylor Wessing Ireland is a great choice.
I trained in a leading Irish law firm and during the qualification process, I reflected on what direction I wanted my career to take. Once I explored an opportunity to join Taylor Wessing Ireland, I quickly knew it was the perfect firm to launch my career upon qualification. The move was seamless and has proved to be an incredible decision, allowing me to hone my experience by working on complex cross-border and domestic matters and to collaborate with a diverse cohort of lawyers across our global network.
The exposure to market-leading clients and high-profile litigious disputes has significantly accelerated my professional development and from the beginning I’ve been trusted with the responsibility of providing a first-class product for the client while being fully supported by the excellent lawyers I work with and learn from every day. I’m thrilled to be a part of Taylor Wessing Ireland at such a pivotal time for the firm as we continue to disrupt the Irish legal market and I haven't looked back since joining!
I was the first person to join Taylor Wessing Ireland when it opened its doors in 2021. I was already familiar with the firm as I had previously encountered the Corporate and Private Equity teams on international transactions and was impressed by their professionalism and pragmatism. I was also drawn to the sector-specific focus of the firm, and I have felt encouraged throughout my time here to pursue my interests in disruptive technologies and the fashion and luxury sectors. Taylor Wessing Ireland's sector-focused approach means you'll become a genuine expert in the sectors that fascinate you.
Joining a firm that promotes entrepreneurialism at every level provides you with the opportunity to contribute to the development of law in that area and grow the firm's client portfolio in that sector. I found this particularly compelling as these opportunities are often reserved for senior lawyers, however in Taylor Wessing Ireland, everyone is responsible for contributing to the firm's trajectory and growth.
Taylor Wessing Ireland embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of our clients – we understand their challenges because we face similar ones ourselves. This creates an environment where commercial awareness isn't just encouraged, it's essential. You'll develop a deep understanding of how businesses operate, what drives decision-making, and how legal advice can create real value. For graduates who want to be business advisers, not just lawyers, Taylor Wessing Ireland is the ideal training ground.
