Zachary assists clients in tackling and resolving their most challenging disputes before international tribunals around the world. He has extensive experience handling complex and high-value arbitrations under major arbitral rules, including those of the LCIA, ICC, SIAC, and HKIAC.
Based out of London, Zachary advises multinational corporations, financial institutions, and state-owned entities on complex cross-border disputes. His sector experience spans energy, infrastructure, technology, transportation, and life sciences. His recent commercial arbitration experience includes acting for a contractor in a multibillion-dollar ICC arbitration arising from an infrastructure project in the Middle East and acting for major corporations embroiled in disputes (often linked to Asia) under LCIA, ICC, SIAC, and HKIAC rules where hundreds of millions are at stake.
Zachary is dual-qualified in England and Wales as well as Singapore. Having worked in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, Zachary brings to the table a wealth of perspectives with an astute understanding of the legal and commercial landscapes of both regional and international markets. Zachary is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, which allows him to effectively manage disputes involving Chinese elements.
Additionally, Zachary has represented clients in numerous high-profile procurement disputes (at the Technology and Construction Court), shareholder disputes, and cartel damages claims involving airlines from multiple jurisdictions. More recently, he advised a prominent political figure in Asia on injunctive claims brought across multiple countries, including proceedings before the English courts.
