Legal 500 Germany Awards 2026: Taylor Wessing nominated in 10 categories – including "ESG Firm of the Year"

The editors of The Legal 500 have published the shortlist for the Legal 500 Germany Awards 2026. The renowned British company is presenting the Germany Awards for the second time this year, following their premiere in Germany last year. The shortlists and winners are determined on the basis of Legal 500's independent research for the annual Legal 500 Germany Guide. These awards recognise lawyers, law firms and legal departments that set standards in Germany.

Taylor Wessing has been nominated in ten categories for the Legal 500 Germany Awards 2026:

1x Firm of the Year

The firm is in the final of the Legal 500 Germany Awards as Firm of the Year in the ESG category. This success is based on the work of an interdisciplinary team of around 50 people who provide clients with comprehensive advice on all ESG issues. Since 2023, the group has been led by Dr Verena Ritter-Döring, a solicitor specialising in financial market regulation and banking supervisory law, and salary partner Sebastian Rünz, who advises in particular on the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG).

5x Team of the Year

The firm has been nominated for Team of the Year in five categories, including four areas of law that are among the firm's proven areas of expertise and focus. Taylor Wessing's marketing team is also on the short list.

The trade magazine also nominated four partners from the firm for the Lawyer of the Year award:

The winners of the Legal 500 Germany Awards will be announced on 20 February 2026 at an evening event in Frankfurt am Main.
