Led by Munich-based partner Dr Peter Hellich, Taylor Wessing provided comprehensive legal advice to Munich-based FTAPI Software GmbH on the sale of a majority stake to private equity firms Armira Partners and Tikehau Capital. FTAPI is a leading developer and provider of business data transfer and data storage solutions.
As part of the transaction, Armira Growth and Tikehau Capital are investing €65 million to accelerate FTAPI's growth in the European market and help the company become the European market leader in secure data exchange solutions.
The investment will be used to further expand FTAPI's product portfolio for secure data exchange. FTAPI aims to offer solutions "made and hosted in Europe" to support companies in complying with European security standards and thus promote independence from international companies and the digital sovereignty of European companies.
FTAPI offers a comprehensive platform for simple and secure data workflows and automation. FTAPI connects people, data and systems securely, quickly and easily. Since 2010, over 2,000 companies, public authorities and medical institutions with more than one million users have placed their trust in the SecuMails, SecuRooms, SecuForms and SecuFlows products - regardless of whether they are sending or receiving data, receiving structured data, sharing confidential information or securely automating data workflows.
