We are the winner of the European Copyright & Design Firm of the Year award at the Managing IP Awards 2021, organised by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP), a leading global resource for IP news and analysis.
The Managing IP EMEA Awards recognise remarkable achievements and developments within the IP industry over a 12-month period. They are the result of MIP's extensive World IP Survey, which pinpoints the firms, individuals and corporations excelling in IP globally.
In addition to the European award, we also won the Copyright & Design Firm of the Year award for France.
We have also been recognised for our work on three Impact Case of the Year awards for our work in the following cases:
- Our work for YouTube and Google on the Constantin Film Verleih v YouTube and Google case.
- Our work for Abbott on the Evalve Inc & Ors v Edwards Lifesciences case.
- Our work with Mylan on the Neurim Pharmaceuticals v Generics UK case.
Finally, we're also taking home the joint award for European Cross-border Patent Litigation Team of the Year for our work on the Truvada case.
Simon Cohen, Partner and head of the International Patents team, said: "Our work with Mylan has been recognised for the third year in a row with an award for Impact Case of the Year. This award underlines our strength in the life sciences and healthcare market at an international level."
Joerg Wimmers, Partner and international head of the IP team, commented: "This award is a recognition of the hard work of our IP teams across our international offices, and the copyright successes we've had over the past year. Market-leading brands come to us for our copyright and IP expertise, thanks to our experience and exposure to a variety of issues and our capacity to formulate innovative and creative strategies to tackle IP issues head on."
The virtual ceremony took place on 30 March 2021.
