The mobility service provider DKV Mobility will in future rely on the mobile payment platform of PACE Telematics, one of the technologically leading providers in the field of Connected Cars Services, and will participate in the German start-up as part of a strategic partnership. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the total amount of the transaction. The international commercial law firm Taylor Wessing, led by Düsseldorf-based partner Ernst-Albrecht von Beauvais, provided legal advice to DKV Mobility on the minority shareholding.
Refuel and pay directly at the fuel dispenser via smartphone: This describes the technical solution Connected Fueling from the smart mobility provider PACE Telematics. The Karlsruhe-based company's mobile payment platform is independent and thus open to inquiries from petroleum companies, POS system providers and OEMs. DKV Mobility continues its digitalization offensive with the participation in PACE Telematics. The fully automated payment and invoicing process at petrol stations, including further service offers tailored to the customer, is considered to have great potential throughout Europe.
