The international technology group Körber takes over Roll-Tec Cilindro Ltda. based in São Paulo, Brazil. The international law firm Taylor Wessing advised Körber on the acquisition under the leadership of the Munich partner Stefan Kroeker. Taylor Wessing has been advising European clients for many years in Brazil related transactions (inbound and outbound). The acquisition was completed effective July 31, 2019.
The goal of the takeover is the further international expansion of the Tissue business area of the Körber Group. The business offers complete solutions for processing and packaging machines for toilet paper, folded tissue and paper towels. Roll-Tec is a Latin American technology leader in the field of embossing, developing engraving cylinders and producing and selling embossing rolls for tissue production. The company's approximately 60 experts also provide services and support to customers in the development of new embossing patterns, including the production of the corresponding rolls, all the way to the delivery of the engraving cylinders.
