At Taylor Wessing, family matters. We’re supporting colleagues who care for others by reducing the barriers between balancing personal commitments with a thriving career. As a result, more and more of our people are taking advantage of flexible working. Something we fully encourage.
We actively encourage all our working parents, including our Board members, to take parental leave.
This offer is fully inclusive, with maternity, paternity and adoption leave available on a shared basis.
After 12 months' service, our working parents receive enhanced parental leave. This is equivalent to six months' full pay, with flexibility over how the payments are spread during their period of leave.
We are delighted to co-chair the Family Matters Network together. This is an area which is close to both of our hearts, and we are keen to ensure that the Family Matters Network is an inclusive network to support everyone at the firm with all matters family, relationship and friendship related. We all have lives outside of work and at different points in our lives face different challenges, whether that be parental responsibilities, caring for elders, relationship breakdown, divorce, single parenting, bereavement etc. All of these can have a significant impact on our working lives and the purpose of the Family Matters Network is to provide a place of support for our people.
Shilpa Vaswani and Stephen o'Grady | Message from our co-chairs
Family Matters, our parents and carers network, offers advice and support. We hold regular parenting seminars on subjects ranging from child mental health to the different childcare options available. We also arrange sessions that focus on working dads and inclusive families.
Flexible ways of working
To facilitate flexibility, we give everyone access to high-end technology, agile processes and the freedom to work where they want, when they want and how they want.
We're actively building a balanced business where there's a level playing field for everyone, regardless of gender.
As the winner of the 'Outstanding LGBTQIA Network of the Year' at the 2025 Rainbow Awards, we're proud of our reputation as an inclusive workplace.
From disability awareness to our mental health champions, we support everyone in feeling their best.
Your potential, ability and talent - not your socio-economic background or schooling - determines your success here.
