Advising on Molten Ventures' recommended all-share acquisition of Forward Partners and fundraising

We are advising leading European venture capital firm Molten Ventures on its recommended all share offer for Forward Partners and related £55 million fundraising.

The proceeds of the fundraising will be used to fund both primary and secondary investment opportunities across the European start-up sector. The proposed acquisition will bring 43 new early stage, disruptive technology companies into the Molten portfolio, and expand the resources, expertise, and networks available to Molten in support of some of Europe’s most innovative firms.

Commenting on the transaction, Paddy Quinlan, Partner at our Ireland office, said: "Molten's acquisition and fundraising comes at a challenging time in the European start-up and technology ecosystem. As such, it's an important statement to the market of Molten's continued ambition to support innovation, while also providing investors with the opportunity to play a vital role in backing startups across Europe. We have enjoyed working with the Molten team and its other advisers and look forward to seeing the breakthroughs and developments that arise as a result of this investment."

The team was led by Partner Paddy Quinlan and Of Counsel Dannie Hanna in our Dublin Corporate team.
