We have advised Inflexion and the management team of Scott Dunn on the sale of the company to Australian listed travel agency Flight Centre.
Scott Dunn is a leading luxury travel brand specialising in tailor-made luxury holidays. It has won the Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Award every year since 2013 in recognition of its high levels of personal service and destination expertise.
The deal enables Scott Dunn to build on its success on a global scale through Flight Centre's platform, and opens new opportunities for Flight Centre to enter the luxury travel market through an already established brand.
Private Equity partner at Taylor Wessing, James Goold said: "This is a great move for Scott Dunn, with the acquisition holding many opportunities for the company to expand its offering. We were pleased to support Inflexion and the management team and wish the Scott Dunn business all the best for its future as part of the Flight Centre group."
Scott Dunn's CEO Sonia Davies said: “We are very grateful to the Taylor Wessing team for having provided such consistently excellent support in helping us navigate to the next stage of the company's growth."
Inflexion partner Catherine Richards said: “We would like to thank the whole team at Scott Dunn for their commitment to building on the Scott Dunn brand and heritage, reinforcing its position as the leading luxury travel company. In particular, the business has come out of the pandemic in a strong position and is well placed to continue to grow further in the UK and across the globe. It was great to work once again with James, Alex and the rest of the team at Taylor Wessing, who provided highly commercial advice throughout the process."
The agreement to acquire 100 percent of Luxury Travel Holdings Limited (the trading name for Scott Dunn's parent company) is being funded by an equity raise and will complete later this month.
The team was led by Private Equity partner James Goold. Further support was provided by:
