Expanding our structured real estate team with second team hire in 2021

We have expanded our real estate sector group with the hire of a team from Greenberg Traurig. 

Michael Goldberg joins our London office as a partner on 1 March, bringing with him a team of three associates all of whom are specialists in structured real estate.

The blend of expertise across corporate M&A and commercial real estate is an area of growth and focus for us following the appointments of Matthew Swainston from Forsters in June last year and Mark Rajbenbach from Paul Hastings in 2017. 

Michael specialises in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets work, with significant expertise in the real estate sector. He is known for supporting a broad range of clients on structured real estate opportunities. From the world's largest banks, to iconic tall buildings and retail groups, he regularly advises on billion-dollar transactions in the real estate sector.

This is the second team we have announced this year, following the appointment of 13 lawyers in the private wealth sector from BCLP in January/February.
