Advising Rockpool on EA-RS Fire Group investment

We have advised Rockpool Investments on its investment in EA-RS Fire Group, a leading provider of fire protection systems to the UK data centre market.

Rockpool Investments is a private equity firm dedicated to finding opportunities for individuals to invest in private companies, investing up to £12m in profitable UK-based private companies and has invested over £475m since inception.

This deal provides EA-RS with the resources to continue its impressive growth journey through further bolt-on acquisitions, adding to the three acquisitions already completed in its history.

Commenting on the deal, Private Equity partner Jonny Bethell said: "We have built a strong relationship with Rockpool, and this is the fifth deal we have acted on for them in the last 18 months. Our understanding of Rockpool's needs allows us to provide tailored strategic legal advice, and we look forward to future collaboration. We wish Rockpool, as well as Alan, Mark and the EA-RS team, all the best with this investment."

Guy Ellis, Investment Director of Rockpool, said: "EA-RS represents a unique opportunity for our investors to support a well-established buy-and-build platform with a proven track record of successful acquisitions and a market-leading reputation for fire protection in the ever-expanding UK data centre market. The Taylor Wessing team performed exceptionally well in advising us on the transaction, providing both high quality commercial and legal insight into the deal. We very much enjoy working with the team and look forward to completing the next Rockpool transaction together."

The team was led by Private Equity partner Jonny Bethell with support from private equity associates Luc Swietochowski, Alice Picton. The transaction drew on the expertise of our teams in banking and finance (Lerika Joubert and Kate Bowden), employment (Sean Nesbitt and Katie Davenport), tax (Liz Wilson and Marina Constanti), pensions (Mark Smith and Hadassah Shulman), real estate (Emma Oakley and Rhys Bufton), construction (Matthew Jones and Ralph Wood) and commercial (Kelly Burke).
