From fashion, to fitness, to health, to communication, connected wearable devices have been making inroads in a number of industries, and are now a well-established segment of the internet of things. Wearable devices have played a role in remote patient monitoring during the pandemic, but the technology is now also being explored as a means of tackling the issue of social distancing, particularly in the workplace.
With social distancing guidelines likely to be in place for the foreseeable future, is this new segment of the wearables industry here to stay?
